                                                             Directional Non-Force Technique ®

Safe, gentle care for all ages!

In practice for over 20 years, Linda N. Whitman, D.C. exclusively uses Directional Non-Force Technique (DNFT), as taught and copyrighted by Dr. Christopher John, D.C., of Beverly Hills, CA. A brainchild of Dr. Richard Van Rumpt, D.C., now deceased, DNFT chiropractic has been further developed and refined by Dr. John and from the input of other qualified practitioners of the technique.

DNFT chiropractic is a very low-force chiropractic technique safe for all ages and most diagnoses. It has safely and effectively been used on post-surgical cases, including fusions, and on those trying to avoid surgery. It is entirely hands-on, with no instrumentation used, no twisting, popping, cracking, or sudden movements which can sometimes frighten a patient away from other chiropractic techniques. Dr. Whitman has cared for patients from four months old to 80-years-plus.

Our Story Continues....

The table pictured here was designed by Dr. Linda Whitman's mother, Dr. Alice Nelson, D.C., and is reported to be quite comfortable by most patients.

The office is designed to be cozy and relaxing, and every effort is made to help patients feel cared-for, not just physically, but as fellow human beings loved into being by a great Creator.

We are still learning so much about the human body. Dr. Linda (as she is often called), and her mother (often called Dr. Alice), take continuing education hours in nutrition, DNFT chiropractic, and other topics, annually. Dr. Linda is also certified to cast for Sole Support foot orthotics, the brainchild of Dr. Ed Glaser, podiatrist and engineer, based in Tennessee.

Dr. Linda works Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday each week, from 9:30-5:00. Dr. Alice is now retired.

Appointments are made only by phone, which is (805) 962-4904.

Testimonials

This chiropractor and her treatment has been able to affect positive change for health and reduction of pain in a way that no other doctor or chiropractor has been able to accomplish. -ML, Ojai

I have been repeatedly amazed by the effectiveness of this treatment. the methods used to find the problem are very precise - I can forget to tell the doctor about an ache or twinge but the testing always seems to reveal it. The fact that so few visits are required to correct a problem makes it my first choice for care.-CG, Ventura

I was missing school a lot, and could not spend time with friends and family...within a few months I had noticed increased energy and less illness.-EG, Ventura

A very comfortable environment where the doctors take extra time to tend to your needs.-DW, Santa Barbara

I do recommend this treatment to a lot of people. I just told one of my friends about it yesterday!-PG, Carpinteria

Chiropractic helps the whole body, not just the area of complaint.-GG, Carpinteria

I had back issues, pain, and discomfort that were worse sitting or standing still. There was a positive change in about a week. I found I was also able to concentrate better, and I had fewer headaches.-AV, Oxnard

I always come out feeling better.- a happy 7 3/4 year old from Santa Barbara

I began to notice that as others around me got sick, I did not.-EZ, Santa Barbara
